The imperial examination and its overseas influences
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
科举制度作为中华民族的文化教育遗产,对于整个世界文明的贡献是巨大的,被西方一些学者称之为中国影响世界文明进程的第五大发明。中国的科举制度对东亚的日本、韩国(朝鲜)、越南等国家都产生了深远的影响。而于19世纪兴起的英国文官考试制度也起源于中国科举,这一制度成为欧美各国文官考试制度的蓝本。科举考试制度的影响是世界性的,使儒家文化得到了传播,也使博大精深的中华文明流传到世界各地。
Abstract：
Imperial examination is considered as Chinese heritage, and/or the fifth invention, making greatcontribution to the world civilization, influencing profoundly the eastern Asian countries such as Japan, Korea,Vietnam, and reaching Britain in the 19thcentury as the local examination system for selecting civil officials.This helps Confucianism spread worldwide.
