On Lianchi academy and the teaching curricula in Baoding

摘要：
莲池书院是清代在保定设置直隶省最高层次书院,其课程内容起初为科举考试的内容,所开课程多种多样.自从近代西学被引入了书院,莲池书院的教育内容呈现出中西交融的态势.名师讲学为学生展示了不同的教学风格,课艺活动内容的丰富性,师生关系的融洽,考课制度化建设,共同构成了书院的教学景象.
Abstract：
Lianchi academy is the top—leveled academy situated in Baoding in Qing dynasty. Earlier courses concern imperial examinations. Since the introduction of western learning, the academy takes on a combinatory look. Famed teachers demonstrate different styles of classroom teaching, thus enriching the artistic activities.Academic atmosphere is established with a regular testing and a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.
