On the civic education in the American urbanization
摘要/Abstract
19世纪末,美国进入城市化扩展时期,大量外来移民涌入美国城市。他们受到内外因素制约,一度产生公民身份认同的困境,而公立学校内部对新移民子女的教育也存在巨大的分歧。在美国社会有撕裂之虞的情况下,"美国化"运动在官方及民间有识之士的倡导及社会各界的参与下悄然兴起,并通过公立学校及社团公民科课程的探索与公民模拟训练的尝试,有效地促进了新移民子弟的美国化,保障了美国城市化的快速发展及长治久安。其中不乏有益经验,并对当前我国城市化进程中,农民工及其子女如何融入城市问题可提供借鉴。
USA experiences the urbanization at the end of the 19th century with an influx of imm-i grants.However,they fall into citizenship identity dilemma by internal and external factors.Meanwhile,divergence exists over the education of the children of the immigrants in public schools.Americanization is under way because of the efforts by both government officials and non-government folks.Americaniza- tion helps the speedy urbanization and social stability through the training curricula of the American cit- i zens.
