The end of examination-based education and the rise of quality-oriented education

摘要：
应试教育是一种社会历史现象。在其发展过程中，科考制是导因，人事制度是关键，社会差别是土壤，而教育界则起着推波助澜的作用。只有深化改革，才能清除其生存的基础，使应试教育退出历史舞台，使素质教育勃然而兴。
Abstract：
The examination-based education is a social and historical phenomenon whose genis is and development lie in the old imperial civil examination, personnel system, and the social difference. It has been promoted by the long-established education system. Only by deepening commitment to the reform could examination-based education be done away with and the quality-oriented education be invigorated.
