The economic and social development leads to changes of family structures. This paper describes an investigation done on parenting beliefs and behaviors upon primary and secondary school students. Result shows that parents generally make positive appraisal of the development for children, but with most thinking the children being less responsible than the last generation. They feel satisfied with the schools, but not with the social environment. Family is still regarded as the most important environment for child-rearing. Governments should take more responsibility in child-rearing especially at public environments.
