A retrospect of the theory of the American adult education in the 20th century

摘要：
20世纪20年代以前,美国成人教育只注重实践性工作,忽视理论探索。1926年美国成人教育协会的成立拉开了成人教育理论研究的序幕。随后,经过萌芽时期、发展时期以及系统化时期,美国成人教育理论研究取得丰硕成果,成人教育已成为一门较为成熟的学术领域。
Abstract：
It is assumed that the American adult education focuses more on practice than on theory before 1920s.The founding of the American Association for Adult Education in 1926 initiates the theoretical researches in the field,which experience the enlightenment,adolescence and integrative phases.Hence the American adult education has become a mature subject for the fruitful theoretical researches.
