The realistic significance of the grassroots education revisited
摘要/Abstract
当亿万农村劳动力大规模转移,城市化进程以不可阻挡之势逼近时,"青年进城务工者"这一人数众多的群体,就成为当前平民教育的主要对象。切实给予这些劳动者以一种"特殊资格",帮助他们学会经营生活,成为能为社会创造财富,具有独立人格,明白人生价值,适应现代社会的"完成的人"。这是摆在全社会面前的一项重大课题,是人道主义援助性工作和一场新的启蒙运动,它关系到社会的稳定和健康发展。开展平民教育,为社会分忧,帮助政府从基础问题上化解社会不公,提高劳动者素质,增强他们的自信,帮助他们增强生存竞争的能力,解决社会的民生问题以及发展问题。为社会"分忧解愁",为当前的改革做贡献,是重提"平民教育"的现实意义。
While hundreds and millions of Chinese farmers are migrating to the cities and the urbanization comes into being, they instantly form the object of the grassroots education. It is both a social project and human enlightenment to render them a special opportunity to learn to manage their business, make fortune as social welfares, form independent personalities, comprehend the values, and completely adapt to the society.
