University teachers are intellectuals with constant individuality and criticism, hence causing indignation of the crtiticised. Owing to the complex relationships among the urban autonomy, churches,kingship, and universities, the teachers sustain their career security in the middle ages. This priviledge guarantees the autonomous tradition of universities and liberal academic conceptions. Since the 15th century, however, the internationalized color declines while the national power gains. Likewise, the priviledge of university teachers starts to fade, their career security facing new challenges and threatening.
