A review of the attemps at overseas education in contemporary Hubei
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
清末及民国时期,湖北官府及广大学子在留学教育发展过程中,根据形势变化,不断地开辟各种留学途径,从而使该地区学子出国受教育的渠道或方式渐呈多元化的开放格局.虽然不同时段的留学渠道不尽相同,但基本上以省费、自费、庚款留学为主要路径,辅以其他新的留学方式,而且相同的留学途径(如省费留学)在不同的时期又被赋予新的内涵.所有这些变化,向人们呈现出近代中国留学教育万千气象的历史缩影.
Abstract：
Since the Sino2Japanese war of 189425, Chinese students start to pursue overseas study in Japan. By the end of Qing and during the Republic of China, Hubei local government endorses diversified types of supports of the local students in the form of government2sponsored, self2financed, and Boxer indemnity. This is just an episode of the overseas education in modern China.
