Soul, survival and source of university Academic implications of European Universi ties in the Middle Age
摘要/Abstract
作为大学之源,欧洲中世纪大学为现代大学的发展提供了制度性与框架性的历史元素,为理解现代大学概念提供了源头性的诠释;作为大学之魂,欧洲中世纪大学赋予现代大学以基本理念的支持,赋予现代大学在服务于社会需要的同时,彰显自身的学术尊严和知识立场。大学之源赋予现代大学以厚重的历史感,大学之魂则赋予现代大学以理性的责任感。大学之源与大学之魂在大学之变的历史环境中彼此融合,共同为现代大学的改革与发展提供历史与现实维度的双重保障,这就是《欧洲中世纪大学》的学术使命。
In terms of the source,the European universities provide with system and framework for the modern universities.As of the soul,the European universities provide with basic conceptions to reveal their academic authority and serve the social demands.The source of university helps modern universities develop sense of history,while the soul of that nurtures the sense of responsibility.They both alternate in historical environments and thus help with the reforms and development of modern universities.
