Reflections on the teaching of The Selected Readings of Chinese History
摘要/Abstract
《中国历史文选》是古汉语、史学史、历史文献学以及中国文化史等多个知识领域交织的一个特殊学科, 也正因如此, 它也是一个最容易将史学理论与研究方法完美结合的学科, 一个最能丰富地展现中国历史文化知识和文化精神的学科。所以, 不能只是简单地把它视为类似于《古代汉语》的工具课, 而应充分调动、发挥其学科特色, 将史学理论与研究方法密切地结合到具体的选篇中, 通过师生的共同探讨, 培养学生体悟叙说立场, 研判是非曲直, 主动传承前贤学术精神, 并最终提高史学素养。而这种素养将不只是对具体知识的通晓以及对具体历史事件的了解, 它还包括对历史撰述原则和历史研究方法的体认, 对历史研究的态度及其在研究中对自己的定位和期望。
The Selected Readings of Chinese History combines classic Chinese, historiography, historical bibliography and history of Chinese culture. It also combines the theory with teaching methodology, thus representing cultural spirit of Chinese history. Therefore, it is not just an instrumental course. The writer argues for cooperative learning for the sake of the learners in terms of understanding, researching and attitudes towards historical research.
