突破“机器”隐喻促进大学组织学习

Beyond the Machine Metaphor: Reconstructing Organizational Learning in Universities for Human-Centric Development

摘要/Abstract

摘要:

智能化时代随着数字技术的飞跃发展,数字技术嵌入大学组织学习系统已成为趋势,知识生产的机器化成为新现象。“大学是机器”的隐喻通过“齿轮效应”可提升大学组织学习效能,促进大学组织学习向多元参与、开放竞争、交互学习的形态转变。但需要警惕的是,“机器”的“标准化输入—程序化加工—效能化输出”等控制化逻辑嵌入教育活动,也会在一定程度上侵蚀教育的本质,催生思维的“齿轮化”,引发批判性思维的退化、知识生产的技术化以及机器管理的加剧。因此,大学组织学习需突破“机器”隐喻,扬长避短,在“人”“机”之间寻求平衡,使人从“工具性角色”回归知识创造的真正主体,守住“以人为本”的教育底线。在实践中,对“机器”隐喻的应用需要保持警惕并进行批判反思,在祛魅的辩证运动中,以价值理性为锚点重塑意义坐标,构建弹性治理框架,在优化组织学习中推动大学既保持机器逻辑的秩序优势,又保持教育的本真和活力。

Abstract:

In the era of artificial intelligence, the rapid advancement of digital technology has led to its deep integration into university organizational learning systems, giving rise to the phenomenon of “mechanized” knowledge production. The metaphor of “university as a machine” enhances organizational learning efficiency through the “gear effect,” facilitating a shift toward diversified participation, open competition, and interactive learning. However, the mechanistic logic of “standardized input—programmed processing—efficiency-driven output,” when embedded in educational practices, risks eroding the essence of education. This may lead to the “gearing” of thought, manifesting in the decline of critical thinking, the technification of knowledge production, and the intensification of bureaucratic management. Thus, universities must transcend the limitations of the “machine” metaphor, striving for a balanced interplay between human agency and technological efficiency. This entails restoring individuals from instrumental roles to their rightful place as the true subjects of knowledge creation, thereby upholding the principle of human-centered education. In practice, a critical and reflective approach toward the “machine” metaphor is essential. Through a dialectical process of demystification, universities should anchor their efforts in value rationality, reconstructing a meaningful framework for governance. By adopting flexible governance structures, they can optimize organizational learning—preserving the order and efficiency of machine logic while safeguarding the authenticity and vitality of education.
