To strengthen family support for childcare is an important part of “childcare for children.” Norway attaches great importance to parental support policies, and has introduced The Norwegian government’s National Strategy for Parental Support (2018-2021) Safe Parents - Safe Children, which aims to help parents become good caregivers. Emphasizing the strategic concepts of shared parental responsibility and responding to the childcare needs of families with special needs, it has produced positive results through various measures such as the leave system, funding, information and intellectual support. China should focus on the actual construction of infant care service system, take measures according to local conditions, encourage the exploration of various forms of parental leave, and improve the support policy system. We should make up for the shortfalls, give play to the government’s policy guiding role, and improve the child-care allowance system. Through joint efforts and shared benefits, we should promote cross-border integration in various forms and through a wide range of channels, support parents in childcare, and help parents become good caregivers.
