In order to cultivate the new generation for the mission of national rejuvenation, the comprehensive enhancement of labor education has become an urgent task and a crucial step for universities in China. For a long time, although colleges and universities have made some achievements in the field of labor education, there are still many problems in the main bodies, contents, recipients, media and venues of labor education, which can’t meet the requirements for building China into a modern and powerful socialist country with Chinese characteristics. This paper holds that to solve the problems faced by current labor education in colleges and universities, we must tackle the challenges from five prongs: coordinating forces of all parties of labor education to create educational joint forces; constructing the content system of labor education and developing correct labor mentality; paying attention to the differential treatment of the labor education recipients to strengthen the actual effect of education; innovating the carrier form of labor education to enhance interest in labor; and diversifying the practice platforms and widening the channels for labor education.
