杜威道德教育思想的理论脉络阐析

A Study on the Theoretical Context of John Dewey’s Thoughts on Moral Education

摘要:

杜威道德教育思想以其伦理学和心理学思想为基础。就伦理学而言,杜威自觉推动道德转型,主张从习俗性道德发展到反思性道德,将道德理解为经验逐渐改善的过程,细致阐发了合乎民主精神的公共善道德标准;就心理学而言,杜威将个体行为发展大致分为冲动性行为、习惯性行为、理智性行为三个阶段,以螺旋上升的方式解释了个体品格基于经验的持续形成过程。学校道德三位一体是杜威道德教育思想的内核,从学校教育的道德目的角度可以理解为社会智慧、社会能力、社会兴趣的复合体;从道德的学校教育过程角度可以理解为本身就是社会机构的学校的生活、学习和做事的方法、学校中的学习内容或课程的复合体。以学校道德三位一体为内核的杜威道德教育思想对于我国落实立德树人根本任务、构建以全员全程全方位全学科为标志的学校德育体系具有重要的借鉴价值。

Abstract:

John Dewey’s thoughts on moral education were based on his ethical and psychological theory. As a moral philosopher, Dewey consciously stated for moral transformation. He welcomed the evolution from customary morality to reflective morality, treated morality as the process of the improvement of experience, and analyzed the moral standard of common good. As a psychologist, Dewey generally divided the process of conduct development into three stages, which are symbolized respectively by impulse, habit, and intelligence, and explained the spirally forming process of character within continuous experience. The moral trinity of the school can be regarded as the core of his moral education thoughts, which can be understood as a unity of social intelligence, social power and social interest from the perspective of the moral purpose of school education, and as a unity of the life of the school as a institution in itself,methods of learning and of doing work, and the school studies or curriculum from the perspective of the school moral education process. Dewey’s thoughts on moral education, represented by the moral trinity of the school, has great reference value for China in fulfilling its fundamental task of moral education and constructing a comprehensive school moral education system covering all members, the whole process and all subjects.
