No American high school carries on a universal appraisal of its students, but they have been conducting evaluation of comprehensive quality of high school students (ECQHSS). In the perspective of China's comprehensive quality evaluation program, the main contents of comprehensive quality evaluation includes advanced placement course. The average scores of students' high school include social participation, language expression and special talent (including interest and specialty, alternative talent and so on). The evaluation method consists of an examination evaluation, grade evaluation, comment evaluation and performance assessment. What we can learn from the comprehensive quality appraisal about American high school students is that we should adopt the comprehensive way to evaluate it, focusing on the evaluation of students' individuality.The university should play a main role in the evaluation, and the evaluation results must be linked tightly to college attendance.
