Along with the increasing severity of aging worldwide, successful aging has become a popular theme in the field of gerontology. It is acknowledged that active learning can contribute to successful aging. However, different people hold different opinions towards successful aging. This study examines the relationship between learning participation and successful aging through elderly adult learners. A survey is done with a questionnaire, and 428 out of 500 copies are collected in the schools for the elder in Shanghai. The relationship is investigated from six broad aspects, quality improvement, family life satisfaction, financial management after retirement, positive adjustment to later life, knowledge enrichment, and social network broadening.
