英国“教生制”及“教生中心”兴衰研究

Rise and decline of the pupil-teacher system and the centers in UK

摘要/Abstract

摘要:

英国教生制的产生和发展源于4个因素,即19世纪英国初等教育发展的需要,导生制的衰落,凯-沙图华兹的倡导和教生队伍的发展。英国教生中心是教生制发展到一定阶段的自然产物,有5个特点:即与实习学校密切合作,按全科教师目标训练教生,训练严格,教生中心的教师既有丰富的教学实践经验又有高层次的学历,教生制训练相当于初级教师教育内容和水平。深入研究英国教生制和教生中心的兴衰,不仅可以深入了解英国教师教育发展的脉络,而且可以获得一些有益的启示。

Abstract:

The monitorial system gives way to the pupil teacher system due to the need of primary educational development, advocating of Sir James Philips Kay-Shuttleworth, and the development of pupil-teachers. The rise of pupil-teacher centers is the natural result of the development of pupil-teacher system. The characteristics in these centers include close cooperation with primary schools, enabling pupil-teachers to be able to teach all subjects in a primary school. Teachers in the centers should have both teaching experiences and university degrees in late 19th century. The training of pupil-teachers is at the primary level of teacher education.
