An educational study of the modern university system
摘要/Abstract
大学作为一项教育事业，是理应以教育的本性和规律为其活动方向和原则的。然而，在现实的社会环境中，大学却不仅被看成是一项教育事业，而且被看成是一种社会工具，亦即为政治和经济服务的工具。而当大学被看成是社会政治和经济工具的时候，其活动方向和原则就变成了政治和经济的目的和逻辑，从而使大学丧失自己的本性，产生大学内外的双重矛盾：在外，是社会对大学不满意，认为大学没有产生出应有的文明效应和培养出有教养、有德行的优秀人才；在内，是大学师生不满意，认为他们在大学中没有应有的权利和尊严，只是“上级命令”和各种制度的执行者，对于各种违背教育规律的行为无可奈何。而让大学的制度、文化回归教育本性，才是大学正常活动的基本条件。
University possesses its own principles and orientations.However, it is regarded as a social, economic or political instrument.Hence, the nature of university has faded, and two faceted contradictions arise, namely, from both external society, and internal teaching staffs and students.A university that obeys the orders by the superiors is bound to violate the educational rules.So this paper argues for the restoration of the university system and culture.
