On peculiarity and regularity of college English
摘要/Abstract
大学英语主体教育在教学目标、教学方法、语言环境和教学评估等方面有着其不同于其他学科的特殊性。大学英语主体教育的规定性主要体现在教育者根据大学英语教育的特点，在引导、组织学生学习并向学生呈现英语语言知识时所表现出来的积极性、自主性和创造性；受教育者通过教师主体作用的发挥，在英语学习中达到的能动性、自主性和自为性。正确认识、运用大学英语主体教育的特殊性和规定性，可有效提升大学生的英语综合应用能力。
College English differs from other disciplines in objectives, teaching methodology, language environment and teaching evaluation. The regularity refers to the activeness and creativity of the learners through the classroom teaching organizations in accordance with the nature of the subject. The peculiarity refers to the activeness and self-action of the learners through teacher's explication. The two features combined form the integrated ability of the learners in comprehensive application of English knowledge.
