Roles of religious schools in modern Chinese education
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
19世纪初,西方传教士在中国创办了一系列的教会学校,将西方的教育引进中国.教会学校虽然在主观上是为了传播宗教思想,发展教徒,但客观上宣传了西方学校教育的优越性,对中国教育的近代化起到了一定的推动作用.
Abstract：
Western missionaries open a number of religious schools in China at the beginning of 19th century, helping with introduction of the western education into China. The schools are principally responsible for spreading religious thoughts and enlisting disciples, but they make the western education well known, thus driving forward the modern Chinese education.
