摘要：
中国颜元和英国洛克都是由古代社会向近代社会转型时期的教育家。他们批判旧教育的空虚无用, 主张教育要切合生产、生活实际。其注重实际应用的实学教育与绅士教育思想有很多相似之处, 也有许多不同的地方。比较他们教育思想的异同, 挖掘其文化的本因, 以探求中西教育发展的规律及启示, 是十分有益的
Abstract：
It is in the time transiting from ancient to contemporary that appear two great educational thinkers, Yan Yuan in China and Locke in Britain. They both defy the purposeless old and argue for the pragmatic new styles of education. There are a great number of similarities as well as dissimilarities. Therefore, it is believed that the comparative study of both educationalists can help explore the nature of cultures and the rules of development of education in both China and west.
