摘要：
英国科学家、教育家赫胥黎积极倡导科学教育,不仅注重科学知识的实用价值,而且还十分强调科学教育的精神价值。赫胥黎对科学教育的精神价值可以概括为四个方面:一、科学教育可以培养学生的审美能力；二、强调科学教育具有道德教育作用；三、科学教育具有文化价值；四、科学教育是自由教育不可或缺的重要组成部分。
Abstract：
Thomas Henry Huxley,an English scientist and educationalist,advocates both the practical and spiritual values of the scientific education.Therefore the writer of the paper lists four aspects of his spiritual values,namely,scientific education may culture learner's aestheticism;it functions as moral education;it embodies cultural values;and it is an indispensable component of liberal education.
