Fig-pollinator mutualism is parasitized by diverse non-pollinating fig wasps.In this article,mating behaviour of three parasitoid wasps was studied by means of direct observation.The results indicated that male fig wasps generally left galls earlier than females and they often assisted females in leaving the galls when figs developed into D-phase.Male and female wasps of all three species can mate more than once.For mating opportunity,most of the male fig wasps engaged in fighting that often lead to body damage,while the fighting intensity varied among different wasp species.The investigation indicated that the time that Walkerella sp.males spend on searching female was negatively correlated with wasp density,while mating time was not significantly correlated with wasp density.
