Poyang lake ecological economy zone is a major step to the rise of central China for Jiangxi province,as well as an important measure to protect the ecological resources of Poyang lake.Based on the assume of Poyang lake ecological economy zone,the index system of urban competition power was constructed. The urban comprehensive competitiveness and elemental competitiveness were analyzed and evaluated by AHP for each city in Poyang lake ecological economy zone.In view of differences in comprehensive competitiveness and elemental competitiveness between cities and city itself,strategy countermeasures such as setting up regional compensate mechanism, founding regional coordinated system,choosing the way for industrial development,strengthening infrastructure construction,optimizing urban ecological environment,etc were proposed
