Theoretical Design of Passive Q-switched Laser

摘要:

从被动调Q激光器的速率方程出发,对其各个参数进行数值求解,模拟其变化曲线,以激光输出单脉冲能量10 mJ、脉宽3 ns为例,对被动调Q的Nd:YAG激光器进行设计,得到激光器的关键参数:输出镜反射率R和饱和吸收体的初始透过率T0,并分析其热效应.最后,以传输矩阵理论,设计了激光器的谐振腔,所得结论为二极管泵浦的被动调Q激光器的实验研究提供理论依据.

Abstract:

Based on the rate equation theory of passive Q-switched laser,its various parameters are numerically solved and simulated.A passive Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser is designed with the single pulse energy of 10 mJ and the pulse width of 3 ns.The reflectivity of the output coupler and the initial transmission of the saturable absorber are obtained.The thermal effect is analyzed and can be ignored under water-cooled condition.At last,the laser cavity is designed by using the transfer matrix theory.These conclusions provide significant reference for the experimental study on the passive Q-switched laser.
