Relationship Between Auxin and Plant Apical Dominance

摘要:

生长素是控制顶端优势的主导因素,但它对侧芽的抑制作用不是直接的,有可能通过调节第二信使的量来抑制侧芽生长.比较有说服力的第二信使是细胞分裂素以及一种可以通过嫁接转移的未知因子.另外还有研究表明,主茎中生长素的运输抑制侧枝中生长素的运输,从而使侧枝生长受抑制.生长素抑制植物分枝的作用部位是在地上部分的木质部和维管束间的组织形成层中或两者的汇点处.

Abstract:

Auxin is the leading factor of controlling apical dominance.The plant hormone auxin,synthesised in the shootapex,moves down along the stem and inhibits lateral branching,does not travel upward into the branches,so it must actindirectly;auxin may acts by regulating the production of a second messenger which is transported into the bud.The best documented candidates for such second messengers are cytokinin and a novel graft transmissible signal (MAX-dependent hormone).How ever,recent study on auxin transport sug gests a possible additional mechanism whereby auxin transport in the stem prevents the establishment of auxin transport out of the branches,thus inhibiting their grow th.Auxin acts in xylem-associated or medullary cells to mediate apical dominance.
