Ren Hongjun and his conception of scientific salvation of the nation
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
富国强民的强烈愿望, 使任鸿隽由一个革命救国的追随者, 转变为科学救国的服膺者。他的科学救国思想, 是对近代科学救国思潮的继承和超越。他认为, 近代科学之有无是造成中西国势强弱之判的重要原因, 但需指出的是, 在当时的科学家群体中, 像任鸿隽那样坚持强调纯科学研究者, 并不多见。他大力倡导实际的科学研究, 竭力促进科学的本土化, 建言政府将科学立为国策, 并在新中国成立后, 赞成由国家统筹领导科学事业。在不同的历史阶段, 任鸿隽科学救国思想的表现形式虽然各不相同, 但其宗旨却是一以贯之的。
Abstract：
An ardent wish of a prosperous nation enables Ren Hongjuan to be a radical revolutionary, and a steadfast supporter of the national salvation by science.His argues that the access to science justifies the strength of a nation.Furthermore, he claims that scientific researches should be pragmatic, ethnic and government-oriented.
