On the postmodern features of the meaning of The Balloon

摘要：
美国后现代小说新一代作家之父唐纳德.巴塞尔姆的中篇杰作《白雪公主》被称为后现代小说的经典作品之一。就体现后现代主义写作特征而言, 其短篇小说也毫不逊色。他的《气球》就是一篇突出后现代特征—"不确定性"、"碎片性"、"平面性"的短篇范例。
Abstract：
Donald Barthelme is regarded as the father of the younger generations of American postmodernist writers, and his masterpiece, Snow White, is praised as one of the best postmodernist works. But in terms of unfolding the postmodernist writing features, such as indetermination, fragment, and planizat ion, The Balloon may as well serve as a good example.
