Like Husserl and Heidegger, Merleau Ponty has a cautious attitude towards scientific and technological rationality. He rejects the blind confidence of the rationality and invasion of art. For him, art focuses on the secrets of body existence and therefore it should have a depth. The artistic language is an expression of silent existence of human beings.
