Cultural exchanges and the Sino-US relations
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
文化具有双重性,即体现人类共同价值的共同性和体现民族价值的民族性。文化交流在中美关系中一直占有重要位置。在中美关系发展的不同阶段,文化交流起着不同的作用。着眼未来,建立中美建设性战略伙伴关系,我们既要积极加强中美间的文化交流,也要防止美国的价值观和意识形态的渗透。
Abstract：
The writer of this paper claims that culture is of duality, i.e., value-bound intercommunity and nationality. Cultural exchange has played an important role in the Sino-US relations, which differs in the different developmental phases of the relation. The paper concludes with a proposal that while it is advisable for China to construct the strategic partnership with US via frequent cultural exchanges, and likewise, it is necessary for China to prevent the American value and ideology from intrusion.
