The differences between Confucius and Menciusin their social ideas and their historical influences

摘要：
儒家文化一直被视为中国传统文化的主流。而儒家文化自唐宋以后又被概之以“孔孟之道”。这样,孔孟两个思想家之间的差别便被泯没了。但事实上,二者在思想倾向、学说内容上的差异却是巨大的,二者对中国历史的影响也是不同的。
Abstract：
Confucianism has been regarded as the mainstream in China’s traditional culture, and ever since the Song Dynasty Confucianism has been generalized as doctrines of Confucius and Mencius,and thus Mencius became a person who developed Confucianism. As a matter of fact, there are essential differences between Confucius and Mencius in their social ideas and they have had different influences upon China’s history.
