A tentative study of the adverb hěn in the Chinese language

摘要：
程度副词“很”不是从形容词“很”虚化而来的,而是替代的元代时期新出现的副词“哏”,从方言与普通话的关系的角度来看,语法格式“A得很”不是普通话的固有格式,而是来自于江淮官话等方言。
Abstract：
The adverb“hěn”(very, quite,awfully) in Chinese is not derived from adjective “hěn”. It is used as an alternative of the adverb “gén” which was used in the Yuan Dynasty. Judging from the relation between Putonghua( common speech with standard Chinese pronounciation) and dialects,“hěn”used in the present-day Putonghua may have come from a kind of dialect.
