On Confucius’s inheritance and development of Duke Zhou’s philosophy of virtue and rite
摘要/Abstract
周公通过对夏殷之鉴的总结,提出了“德”、“礼”的主张。“德”是为了“保民”而对统治者个人提出的道德要求,而“礼”是对道德行为的制度化。这样,周朝统治者从专注于鬼神世界转向专注于现实社会和体察民情,从神权政治转向德治和礼制。孔子继承了周公的“德”、“礼”思想,并进一步发展为“仁学”思想。孔子与周公,都是我国传统文化的奠基者。
Learning form the Xia-Ying's past mistakes,Duke Zhou put forth the philosophy of virte and rite.The former was the moral norm of the rulers used to "protect people"while "rite"was the criterion of the moral behavior.Guided by this philosophy the Zhou rulers'attention was shifted from gods and ghosts to the reality and common people,from the theocracy to the authority of "virtue"and "rite".Confucius inherited Duke Zhou's philosophy and his own philosophy of benevolence was the development of Duke Zhou's philosoply of "virtue"and "rite".
