An initial investigation on the pronunciation variant of Chinese character"one
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
yī是“一”字的标准读音，然而在具体的普通话交际中，还读作yí、yì、yi、yāo.一字读作yāo,除单说用于赌博外，一般是不能单说的，经常用于一个至少由两个数字组成的数词短语中。由“1”字组成的数词短语，读yāo时没有计数功能，只有称代功能。一字的读音yāo日渐固定，可以作为异读音明确下来。
Abstract：
"yi"is the standard pronunciation of Chinese character"one".but in real life communication in putonghua,the character can be pronounced "yí","yì"and"yāo".when the character is pronounced "yāo",it can not be used alone, except in gambling. It is usually used in a numerical phrase which consists at least of two numbers.when it is pronounced"yāo"in the numerical phrase. the phrase has only its referential function, but no numerical ones.In fact,its pronunciation"yāo"has gradually become constant,and thus should be recognized as a variant.
