In the process of growth, an individual will take the advantage of the mirror stage to build his subject which is constructed in a structure of relationship. In the cross-cultural contacts and communications, cultural identification, driven by the cultural mirror stage, will renew itself constantly. Meanwhile, both individual identity and cultural identification will be provoked by the heterogeneous cultures, and take their specific attitudes and positions. In the globalized age, cultural identifications fail to retain its originality, yet when faced with power relations, they revolt against the predominant yet unjust cultures to defend the legitimacy of their own traditional culture.
