On the use of cohesions in the 2008 US third presidential debate

摘要：
衔接是话语分析很重要的一个部分。基于韩礼德对语言衔接的分类,对2008年美国第三次总统电视辩论中两位候选人所使用的其中一种衔接关系——连接——进行了分析,并通过数据比较,探讨了四种连接表达类型的作用以及对讲话效果的影响,并说明在公开演讲和辩论中,合理的使用多样的连接是十分必要的。
Abstract：
Cohesion is an important part of discourse analysis.Based on the cohesion assumptions by Halliday,this paper mainly discusses the employment of different types of conjunctions used by the two candidates in the US third presidential debate in 2008,and concludes that proper use of conjunction contribute to the logic and coherence of speech.
