Wu Rulun and his educational thoughts of lotus-pond(lianchi) academy in Baoding
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
近代教育家吴汝纶的生命世界与莲池书院维系在一起,他倡设莲池讲学院,创办东西文学堂,加强莲池书院的教育管理；面对新教育改革中的两难困境,主张废除科举,改革书院,引进西学,建立学堂。清末书院改制时,他卸任书院院长,带着在莲池书院中遇到的问题踏上了考察日本教育之途。
Abstract：
Wu Rulun,a modern Chinese educator,enjoys a close connection with lotus-pond(lianchi) academy.He initiates the academy,opens lectures of Chinese and western literature,and also strengthens the management.He advocates abolishing of the imperial examination system,introducing Western literature,and setting up schools.When lotus-pond(lianchi) academy is under the reform,he leaves for Japan for further educational investigation.
