A comparative study of Donne and Milton's sonnets

摘要：
约翰·邓恩和约翰·弥尔顿在十四行诗方面都有很深的造诣。他们的诗作有许多相似之处,又都有各自的特点。在形式和语言上,他们破除陈规,发展了十四行诗,尤其是在使用跨行方面;在主题和题材上,他们游离十四行诗爱情、抒情介质,大胆引入革命政治话题和宗教神学思维;在风格和特点上,他们或使用奇思妙喻,或直抒胸臆。这一切都透散着一种清新的馨香,使读者耳目一新,也颇受启发。
Abstract：
Both John Donne and John Milton are world famed for sonnets.While bearing certain similarities in many respects,their sonnets have distinctive features.In form and language,they break away from the conventions of 17th century,especially in the use of enjambment.Besides,they introduce politics and religion into their themes regardless of the vogue of love motif.Moreover,they revolutionize the style of sonnet writing,either by paradox or by straightforwardness.
