On the end of cashing of China-French Industrial Bank
摘要/Abstract
摘要：
中法实业银行是民国初年首家中外合办银行,初期凭借种种特权经营颇为顺利,但由于投机失败很快停业,其在中国发行的纸币顿时贬值,持有该行纸币的商民纷纷要求兑现,其他银行受此影响也发生了严重挤兑现象,很快引起了金融恐慌。为避免恶性金融危机的爆发,我国各地银行公会积极筹垫款项,组织收兑该行纸币,由于银行公会组织有序、维持得力,最终避免了一场可能爆发的金融危机。
Abstract：
The China-French Industrial Bank is the first joint banking with foreigners at the early of the Republic of China.The business is quite successful owing to privileges,yet it soon comes to a failure. The paper currency is suddenly depreciated,and its clients all ask for cashing.This rapidly spreads elsewhere to start a financial trauma.In order to avoid a crisis,all the banks are united by the union to help with the cashing.
