From hstorical,theoretical,and practical perspectives,advancing common prosperity through coordinated regional developmen constitutes a significant task in advancing Chinese modernization and reflects an inherent requirement of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.Since the beginning of the new era,under the strong leadership of the Central Committe ofthe CPC,China has made considerable progress in promoting common prospenity through coordinated regional development,achieving notable results.The balance and coordination of regional development have been markedly enhanced,and positive changes have been observed in narowing regional and urban-rural dispaities,laying a more solid foundation for achieving common prosperity.Meanwhile,the practical outcomes of coordinated regional development in advancing common prosperity have begun to materialize,with innovations in regional assistance and cooperation models and mechanisms providing effective and viable pathways for fostening shared pospenity through leading areas supporting those lagging behind.Curently,efforts to advance common prosperity through coordinated regional development face new circumstances,challenges,and issues.For the 15th Five-Year Plan period,it is essenial to integrate problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches,strengthen institutional development,and adopt policy measures such as optimizing the spaial layout of naional development and improving regional policy systems.These steps will elp refine and enhance mechanisms for coordinated regional development and drive substantive progress toward common prosperity.
