Bronze ware decoration constitutes a category of historical material rich in meaning yet historically understudied.All decorative motifs and images adorn the surfaces of artifacts. Whether expressed in planar or threedimensional forms, these patterns serve as a key to interpreting bronze artifacts. Decoration, together with the artifact itself and its inscriptions, forms an integral vehicle of historical value, with the physical object embodying multifaceted metaphysical connotations, such as ritual systems, ideology, and culture. Investigating combinations of decorative motifs requires first classifying typical patterns into groups based on archaeological typology of individual motifs, then associating those that cooccur on the same artifact. Advances in computer science and artificial intelligence offer promising support for clarifying related connections. The analysis of nomenclature and forms of decoration should continue to follow the dualevidence methodology, relying on comprehensive extraction of archaeological data from artifacts and careful interpretation of relevant textual records.
