The arrival of the metaverse led to the emergence of the virtual body as a post-bodily form. As the technical existence of the post-body, the virtual body has a duo variation meaning. On the one hand, the virtual body is based on the physical body of individuality, which is the final achievement of human beings’ externalization, but too much emphasis on individuality will inevitably lead to nihilistic criticism of the virtual body. On the other hand, the virtual body is a collective capitalization of the body. The virtual body, the designer and the participants are always in an affective tension field, and under this affective drive, they generate each other and co-evolve. The affective nature of the virtual body happens to provide a negative entropy possibility for the Anthropocene. At the same time， it also provides an aesthetic redemption route for the post-body in the metaverse era.
