In the face of global ecological and environmental crises such as frequent extreme climate disasters and sharp decline in biodiversity, the dichotomy of nature and culture is challenged, and there is no longer the socalled “nature” or “the external” to settle these practical problems. There is an urgent need to rethink the existing production and life style of human beings on the earth level and break new grounds for the coexistence with all species. In this context, Bruno Latour’s discussion on a “common world” explores the possibility of the existence of a “Community of Life on Earth.” By criticizing the modern subjectobject dualism, he restarts “cosmopolitics” by convening nonhuman actors, replaces modern constitutionalism with a collective system, and calls for the decomposition of the “People” cherished by traditional humanism into “terrestrials” who are no longer separated from the earth in the Anthropocene. In this process, aesthetics and art will play a vital role because they cultivate our sensitivity to things.
