Ethical Dilemma and Humanistic Thinking in the Post-Human Era

Abstract

Abstract:

Post-human is a key field that attracts attention from the academic circles today. The emergence of post-human beings and the related theoretical exploration reveal the attempts and dreams of human beings to break through their physiological limits and pursue eternal life and infinite wisdom by relying on modern high technology, and also highlight the complex ethical issues contained in the relationship between human existence and technological development and the paradox contained in the concept of infinite progress of science and technology. The ethical dilemma faced by human beings in the changes in the real world brought about by the scientific and technological progress in the "post-human era" directly guides the academic circles' reflection on the way of human existence and the positioning of human subjectivity, and further guides the post-humanism to rewrite humanism and reshape human subjectivity. The elimination of "anthropocentrism" and the dissolution of human "subjectivity" have become important symbols of the transition from humanism to post-humanism, while the construction of "non-human" subjectivity devoted to rebuilding the relationship between man and nature, man and all things, shows that post-humanism is a new theoretical form and discourse expression of humanism in the post-human era.
