A Comparative Study on the Development of Business Agriculture in Wuxi and Baoding in 1930s-40s
摘要/Abstract
结合第一、二次“无锡、保定农村调查”资料对20世纪三四十年代经营式农业在无锡、保定发展状况的研究来看，经营式农业在保定发展的比无锡要好，导致这种差异产生的深层次原因是两地工商业发展水平的不同。通过对无锡、保定农户收入水平的比较发现，雇工经营的农业生产方式相比家庭小农经济并不一定先进。经营式农业在不同地区发展的历史经验对于当前我国农业现代化的推进也有着重要启示。
Based on the first and second rural surveys in Wuxi and Baoding, this paper studies the development of business agriculture in Wuxi and Baoding in 1930s-40s. The development of business agriculture in Baoding is better than that in Wuxi. The underlying reason for this is the difference in industrial and commercial development in the two places. By comparing the income levels of farmers in Wuxi and Baoding, it is found that the mode of agricultural production operated by employees is not necessarily advanced compared with the household small-scale peasant economy. The historical experience of the development of business agriculture in different regions still provides references for the promotion of agricultural modernization in China.
