An Analysis of the Characteristics of the Thought of FA HUA by Kuiji
摘要/Abstract
窥基作为唯识宗思想体系的代表人物，在解析《法华经》时依据两重佛性、唯识特色的五种姓说等理论体系，将其与《涅槃经》《胜鬘经》等经典作了一番对比，提出法华一乘思想具有“通理智”、“唯摄入”、通“有性”、通“不定性”、“密会行果”、为“权说”等六个特征。此六特征集中体现了窥基试图将《法华经》等大乘经典纳入唯识体系的理论尝试。
Kuiji,as a representative of the Consciousness-Only School of Chinese Buddhism,wrote many books to explain various buddhist scriptures in the Consciousness-Only way,The Lotus Sutra(FA HUA JING) is one of them.He compared The Lotus Sutra with other Buddhist scriptures such as Nirvana Sutra and Srimala-devisimhanada-sutra. Kuiji insisted that sentient beings should be divided into five types based on the quality of the "seeds" in one's consciousness.He also thought that The Lotus Sutra had six characteristics including that the sutra is said by the Buddha especially for the indeterminate class of sentient beings.This paper mainly discusses Kuiji's thought of FA HUA to reveal the characteristics of his Consciousness-Only theory.
