Great progress has been made in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative development since 2014, resulting in the completion of a top-design strengthened organizational guarantee. Intermediate achievements have been made in the following aspects:removing Beijing's non-capital functions, industrial transfer coordination, ecological environment coordinated management, and transportation integration. However, the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is still facing some real problems, such as the increasing difficulty of removing Beijing's non-capital function. Therefore, at this stage, we must focus on the prominent issues, break through the existing system constraints, and then adopt some pragmatic and effective policies and measures to achieve greater effectiveness with innovative thinking, unconventional means and long-term determination.
