Reflection is the fundamental driving force for the continuous exploration and evolution of Chinese literary theory over the past hundred years. At the beginning of this century, the anti-essentialism paradigm and the anti-compulsory interpretation-public interpretation paradigm emerge in the literary circles that are the typical forms of reflection. They form an antagonistic tension, either with contradictions, paradoxes and even the possibility of moving to the theoretical extent for negation. This is a good reminder that real theoretical reflection should integrate epistemology, human nature and history. Besides, reflections may focus on others and their own theories. Only in this way can we truly realize a theoretical expression that removes egocentrism. The premise of publicity is to seek a kind of public interpretation which can reach a certain theoretical consensus.
