摘要：
在中国语言文字学现代转型发展的第一个三十年（1919～1949年），沈兼士是推动传统小学向现代语言文字学转型的代表性学者之一，他继承章太炎先生语言文字学的研究精神和丰厚成果，凭借着深厚的小学功底，顺应时代的学术潮流，力主进行学术革新，他以开放的眼光吸收、借鉴了来自诸如自然科学、逻辑思维科学、语言学、史学等西方现代的科学理论和方法，探索中国语言文字学自主创新的现代化发展道路，真正实现了从传统小学向现代语言文字学的全面跨越。
Abstract：
Shen Jianshi follows Zhang Taiyan in pushing forward the modern Chinese philology in the first 30 years (1919~1949). He has based upon the remarkable achievements of the classical philological studies while striving for innovation. Meanwhile, he learns from the western modern theories and methodologies in natural science, logic, linguistics and history, and actively integrates with the development and modernization of Chinese philology.
